LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta hosts “out-of-this-world” contest in anticipation of Space Mission debut this March

One lucky winner will be chosen to launch first LEGO® Rocket of limited-time exhibit

Tuesday, February 21, 2017 — Calling all space kid-ets! LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta is counting down the days until Space Mission blasts off this March with a social contest for children ready to go on a celestial voyage. To enter, area children are encouraged to simply build and submit a photo of themselves with their own original, “out-of-this-world” LEGO® creation for a chance to launch the very first LEGO® Rocket of Space Mission!

All photos must be submitted to ldcatlantacontests@gmail.com by March 9, and the winner will be officially announced on the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta Facebook page on March 10. During a special preview event on March 15 from 7-9 p.m., the lucky winner will be the first to launch the LEGO Rocket in Space Mission to inaugurate the new component!

Space Mission is an intergalactic building experience where guests explore alien worlds built entirely out of LEGO® bricks. Visitors will be able to build their own spaceship, explore the mission control center and watch a LEGO® rocket blast off into outer space!

Space Mission will officially open to the public during a grand opening weekend on March 18-19. The exhibit will join LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta’s galaxy of other permanent offerings, such as Pirate Adventure Island, Kingdom Quest Laser Ride, Merlin’s Apprentice Ride, MINILAND®, the LEGO® Master Builder Academy, LEGO Friends Olivia’s House and more!
